Multitasking helps to stay ahead in life
Doing various things at the same time can become a pleasing experience if there is passion and objective, says Ferina Ali, our Model of the Fortnight.
Multitasking comes naturally to this young woman who is planning for her January 2016 wedding to an engineer in the communication business.
“The greatest challenge will of course be to find a house in Auckland. Given the current demand unmatched by supply, it would a formidable task,” she said.
A dental nurse by qualification and profession, Ferina aims to become a dentist, simultaneously pursuing her career in modelling.
“This is an exciting profession that keeps you in the limelight but it is not easy to remain a favourite model for long; one has to work hard,” she said.
She said that her meeting with our Photographer Bhikhu Bhula about four years ago changed her life.
“He is the most amazing and creative photographer that I have met in my life and career as a model. He is a perfectionist and brings out the best in every person he ‘shoots.’ I owe my success to him,” she said.
Raised in Auckland, this youngster (who was born in Suva, Fiji) finds New Zealand’s largest city a perfect blend of cultural diversity and social harmony, complimented by “amazing weather and scenic beauty.”
“The Charming city has also given me an insight into the contemporary fashion, which I follow meticulously to keep up-to-date with the latest trends,” she said.
Ferina considers fashion as an art, not just clothes and accessories.
“I love fashion because it inspires me and makes me feel good. It is my way of telling the world who I am,” she said.
Ferina says she is passionate about dancing and considers it as a great form of expressing herself and keeping in good shape.
