People can achieve their goals in life, become successful and be an example for others, if those follow the path of discipline, says Sherol Durgeshni, our Model of the Fortnight.
“I am proud to be a Hindu, which teaches that people can achieve their objectives in life if they are self-disciplined and dedicated souls,” she said.
Born and raised in Lautoka (Fiji), Sherol was brought up in the Hindu tradition. Her family’s conservative background has enriched her life with values, which she believes would help her excel in life.
She is also proud of her years at the Jasper Williams Primary School in Lautoka and upon migrating to New Zealand with her family in 2008, she continued her studies at the Otahuhu Intermediate School in Auckland, before moving to One Tree Hill College in Penrose.
Dancing is her passion and Sherol likes fusion.
“My other passions include netball, fashion, fiction, cooking and meeting new people.
I love to be in front of the camera all the time,” she said.
She evinces keen interest in modelling because the world of fashion has “high concepts, unusual clothing, makeup and new wears.
Sherol has a mixture of ambitions, which range from travel and tourism to hairdressing and fashion.
“If you want to be a model, you should have self-confidence and be able to try new things in life,” she said.
However, her career ambition involves Nursing.
“I like to help people,” she said.
