Modest upbringing in a farming family often instils the best qualities in children, making them resolute in their life and career, as evidenced by Armani Kaur, our Model of the Fortnight. A member of the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), she is happy to assist whenever there is a need.
“I aim to help make the world a better place for the welfare of animals,” she said.
While cruelty to animals constantly makes news in the media, it is heartening to learn of people like Armani who care for them and treat them with kindness and respect.
Migrating to New Zealand from her native India, she completed her higher education and launched her career as a User Support Manager at a medical publishing company.
Armani understands this world, its people and most important of all the changing phases of life and considers herself as a responsible, independent and an open-minded person.
“I hope to remain positive and shed all the negativity around me,” she said.
Armani is also passionate about runway modelling.
“The past six months have been an eye-opener as I have been involved with charity fashion shows and music videos, apart from helping in the ‘Miss South Auckland Pageant’ as a collective team member. These activities helped me to discover and reinvent my inner self,” she said.
Armani said that she was delighted to participate in the Miss Indianz competition, describing it as a ‘mind-broadening adventure and a source of excitement and learning experience.’
“I am keen to explore New Zealand, taking in the country’s legendary scenery, vibrant culture and awesome adventures,” she said.
