Fundraiser on August 14 at Manurewa Netball Centre

Team Lautoka 35s New Zealand, an amateur Football Club, will honour 15 sporting legends at a corporate event scheduled to be held from 6.15 pm on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Manurewa Netball Centre, located at 95 Browns Road, Manurewa in South Auckland.
Galaxy of Sporting Stars
Among the sporting stars who will be honoured at the event will include Eric Rush (Former New Zealand Sevens Skipper), David Tua (Former Boxing World Heavyweight No1 Contender and Champion), Karl Tenana (Former New Zealand 7s Player), Nili Latu (Former Tonga 15s Skipper), Semo Sititi (Former Manu Samoa Skipper), Inga Tuigamala (Former All Blacks and Manu Samoa), Amasio Valence (Former New Zealand Sevens), Wynton Rufer (Oceania Football Player of the Century), Vilimaina Davu (Former Fijian Netball Captain and Former Silver Ferns) and Paul Ifill (Former Wellington Phoenix and Crystal Palace Striker).
Team Lautoka 35s New Zealand Secretary Kartik Reddy said that several All Blacks players will make a special appearance.
Support to Fiji families
“The proceeds of the Programme will be used to meet the operational costs of the Club for the season and assist families in Fiji affected by Covid-19 pandemic. We will conduct an auction of memorabilia including Warriors collectables items donated by Sir Peter Leitch, Vintage All Blacks Rugby Gears and Blues Rugby Apparel. As well as guest performances by Drums of the Pacific and Fiakal, there will be speeches, dance performances and other items. Mai Morning Show host Nickson Clark and Karl Tenana will be the Masters of Ceremonies,” he said.
Mr Reddy said that the charity event will be limited to 400 guests.
“Team Lautoka 35s New Zealand is running a Charity Drive in conjunction with this fundraiser. We request companies and individuals to donate $50 to sponsor a Food Pack for a family in Fiji. Donations can be remitted to our Bank Account 06-0805-0797897-00. We appeal to the generosity of New Zealanders,” he said.
