Radio Tarana is proving yet again that New Zealand can hold out on its own with exclusive visits of Bollywood film stars, without having to coordinate with organisers of events in Australia.
The top Indian Radio Station is hosting the visit of Jackie Shroff of the Hindi film industry. He will appear at the ‘Manukau Diwali’ scheduled to be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the Manukau Sports Bowl, 1 Te Irirangi Drive, Manukau.

Shroff made his acting debut in 1978 with Dev Anand’s movie, ‘Swami Dada.’
In 1983, Subhash Ghai cast him in lead role for ‘Hero,’ paired against Meenakshi Seshadri. The film was a success. He continued to work in Subhash Ghai movies, irrespective of the roles offered. His other notable films are ‘Andar Baahar,’ ‘Jaanoo’ and ‘Yudh.’
In 1986 he did ‘Karma,’ which became the highest grossing film of 1986.
