Firm yields

Yields were generally very firm, down to 5.3% for a Remuera property and 4.9% for a property in Mt Albert with two medical tenancies.

Two Wairau Junction outlets sold on yields around 6.5%-6.8%.

The selection ranged all over Auckland – from shops on Karangahape Road to a cafe at Maraetai across to new food outlets at Wairau Junction, with commercial and industrial properties in between.

Counties progressing

Counties area of South Auckland, especially Takanini, is in progressive mode and has seen some significant investment from major companies recently; for example, Pak N Save, Counties Toyota, Bunnings Warehouse and The Warehouse.

Recent retail developments such as the Takanini Village and the upcoming Oak Junction are evidence that there are significant opportunities for medium to long term investors in this area.
