To honour for Tandoori Mahal Indian & Nepalese Restaurant
Tandoori Mahal Indian & Nepalese Restaurant of Auckland has won the ‘Menulog New Zealand 2015 Tasty Takeaway Award.’
Located at 331 Dominion Road in Mount Eden and open for just three years, the Restaurant was chosen by people as the most popular takeaway restaurant in New Zealand.
The premier awards for takeaway restaurants, second in an annual series, recognise establishments that provide great-tasting food, value for money and superior customer service.
“These awards provide insight into what New Zealanders seek from their takeaway, our vision is to become a calendar-fixture among foodies eager to see their favourite restaurant gain national recognition,” Menulog spokesperson Julia Snabl said.
National Winner
More than 500 restaurants competed in this year’s Awards and the national winner, Tandoori Mahal, received $1500 cash reward.
K K Bhattarai, who owns the Restaurant with his wife Teka and son Tez, said that business began in 2012 with a small team of hard working staff.
“Menulog has an efficient system that works for customers and businesses and winning this award means a lot to us. Our menu includes popular Indian favourites like Butter Chicken, and Rogan Josh as well as authentic Nepalese food including Kathmandu Momo, Sekuwa and Chicken Gorkhali,” he said.
