Tragic incidents of unexpected deaths involving our people including natural disasters in India, Fiji, Sri Lanka and Nepal unfortunately occur from time to time.
In each of these instances, our communities have helped to raise financial resources to help poor families, repatriation of bodies and provide other assistance.
Indian Newslink has been a strong supporter and coordinator of these efforts.
The need to augment such efforts and provide immediate support has inspired the establishment of the ‘Indian Newslink Community Fund,’ administered by a Committee.
I have accepted to Chair this Committee with Indian Newslink Managing Director and Editor with humility and honour. The Fund will demonstrate the compassion of our people and prove to be useful. More details will be published in our next issue.
