An opportunity exists for hospitality management students to obtain a scholarship to pursue their courses in New Zealand.
Students of the Auckland based Professional Bar and Restaurant School (PBRS) will be eligible to apply for the Beam Global NZ Scholarship,
The scholarship recognises high achieving students of the School and supports in their studies and future careers.
It will be open to students in PBRS National Certificate in Hospitality (Operations Supervision) Level 4, keen on progressing to the PBRS Diploma in Hospitality Management Level 5. The eligible candidates should also demonstrate their interest in the hospitality industry.
The $2500 Scholarship will meet the tuition fees at the School.
It will also enable the recipient to travel and assist the ‘Beam Global Ambassador.’
Selection will be based on the personal statements of academic and career goals, academic history and interviews with members of the Beam Global Scholarship committee.
One student will receive the scholarship every year.
Hamish Small, who recently took charge as General Manager of PBRS, said it was a unique and mutually rewarding partnership between the two organisations.
‘The scholarship recipient will not only have the finest hospitality training experience at Diploma level but also the opportunity to show his or her talent to the industry throughout the country,” he said.
