New Zealand Career College (NZCC) has been accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) to provide ‘Certificate in Health Care Support.’
Successful candidates can gain University entry with the NZCC the Level 4 Certificate.
The Programme started on February 13, 2012 at our Manukau and Auckland City Campuses. It is the perfect choice for students keen on studying for a bachelor’s degree in health sciences and for those who did not gain their NCEA entrance.
Successful completion of the Certificate in Health Care Support will provide students with the opportunity to apply for enrolment into the Bachelor of Health Science degree at AUT University.
The programme helps students to develop an understanding of health concepts in the New Zealand environment, essential academic skills through health content and context and the confidence to move into the New Zealand university environment.
Students will develop an understanding of human development and lifespan theories from infancy to aging and will be introduced to the basics of the human structure and function with a particular emphasis on anatomy.
This introduction will give students a clear knowledge of anatomy and physiology terms and concepts that are fundamental to students being successful in the university environment.
