The Auckland District Police officials recovered more than 400 stolen items through their Operation Castle held last month.
Communications Manager Noreen Hegarty said watches, bracelets, rings, necklaces and chains, pendants and brooches and miscellaneous items (coins, earrings and medals) were among the items currently in police custody.
The items can be seen at www.police.govt.nz
“The true owners can claim the item online through the ‘shopping cart’ system.
“Claimants can also send an email message to opcastle@police.govt.nz
“But such claims should be genuine because we have robust systems in place to identify the real owners,” she said.
