Joseph M Joseph has returned as President of the Hamilton Malayalee Association after being elected to the post at the Annual General Meeting held on July 7 in Hamilton.
Dilip Kurien was re-elected to the post of Secretary.
Among the others who were elected at the AGM were Naveen Eapen (Vice-President), Rohan Thomas (Joint Secretary), Sagin Jose (Treasurer), Ronnie Kurian (Youth Coordinator).
Their term of office is one year.
In a statement, Mr Joseph said that he had returned to the post after a gap of one year to accept the challenges and responsibilities towards the community.
“I commit myself to providing the leadership that the Association requires to achieve its objectives and implement its strategies. I am committed to listening and responding to the needs of the members and work closely with other communities,” he said.
Mr Joseph said that development of programmes to promote activities related to children and pursuance of quality would be among the priorities.
