The small but well-knit Goan community in Auckland will get together with their increasing circle of friends from other ethnic groups at their annual Carnival next month.
Organised by GOANZ Association, the event will be held on Saturday, March 1 at Our Lady of Assumption Church Hall, 97 Galway Street, Onehunga.
GOANZ President Cyril Raposo said that the Carnival would be an event to rejoice and promote goodwill and friendship.
“It would be an evening of dance, music and performances. There will be many prizes, including for ‘The Best Carnival Attire.’ Among the highlights will be DJ Music and King Momo Parade,” he said.
Tickets priced at $15 per person (including dinner) are available with many members of the GOANZ Committee.
