Ghazal and Mushaira performers and enthusiasts can look forward to an evening of quality poetic adventure on May 18.
Organised by the Urdu Hindi Cultural Association of New Zealand, the event will be held from 630 pm at the Fickling Convention Centre in Auckland.
Muhammad Khalid Syed and Roopa Suchdev will respectively conduct the Mushaira and Kavi Sammelan (the Hindu version) sections, while Dr Professor Madhur will anchor the Ghazal programme.
Association General Secretary Mujeeb Hydrabadi said that the programme, hosted by Rais Alvi, is being sponsored by Auckland City Council and Internal Affairs Department under its Community Organisations Grants Scheme.
