Getting ready to welcome you at Business Awards

Venkat Raman

There would be more than usual excitement at the Tenth Annual Indian Newslink Indian Business Awards on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Sky City Convention Centre in Auckland City.

We had the honour and pleasure of celebrating the success of the Indian business community on November 19, 2008 – on the day the National Government was sworn-in after nine years in the Opposition benches.

We now have the honour and pleasure of celebrating in the same spirit the Tenth Anniversary of the Awards just a month after the new Labour Government took office after a lapse of nine years.

The presence of our political, business and community leaders, our 14 Category Sponsors and five Support Sponsors, our advertisers, well-wishers and friends will make the event memorable.

Master of Ceremonies

The evening will be enlivened by Michele A’Court, our Master of Ceremonies.

Her appearance at our Awards Night in 2014 was a highlight.

Winner of the ‘Comedienne of the Decade’ at the 2010 New Zealand Comedy Awards, Michèle is a stand-up comedian and writer.

She has been on New Zealand TV screens since 1987 and still turns up all over the place.

She talks a lot – sometimes on Radio and TV, sometimes in pubs and clubs – and works the comedy circuit in places like San Francisco, Las Vegas, Vancouver, Brisbane, Adelaide, Auckland and Mangawhai.

Michèle lives on Auckland’s North Shore with her favourite husband.

Her current solo comedy show, “Stuff I Forgot to Tell My Daughter” deals with all the big (and small) issues we forget to tell our children. The show is now also a book published by Harper Collins and is available in all good and some of the not-so-good book stores.

Our Entertainers

True to the belief of providing opportunities to local talent, our Entertainment segment will comprise Classical and Fusion Dancer, Ratna Venkat, the ‘Gurus of Groove,’ a band created for our Awards- comprising Hemant Thaker, Joseph Alexander, Joscel Alexander, Carlyle Fernandez and Vocalist Ashish Ramakrishnan.

Tickets, priced at $150 plus GST per person and tables seating ten persons per table at $1500 plus GST are available. Please call 021-836528 or Email: editor@indiannewslink.co.nz
