A qualified teacher is offering free workplace literacy lessons and numeracy workplace training to Indian and other communities resident in Auckland.
The 40-hours programme will be held in Auckland and can be spread over 10 to 18 weeks.
Adon Kumar, who conducts free English language classes on his weekly radio programme (Planet FM 104, as published in our July 1, 2014 issue) said that those interested may contact him for further details.
Eligibility rules
“These Workplace programmes aim to equip migrants with the necessary knowledge and skills to be economically active and independent. The programme is free and is only for New Zealand citizens, those with permanent residence status and people who are either in fulltime or part-time employment,” he said.
An adult workplace literacy teacher is offering the Programme.
“Those intending to attend the classes must also have less than 80 New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) credits, namely limited post-school qualifications,” Mr Kumar said.
