A love story with twists and turns, ‘Timepass 2’ is a comical entertainer.

Shot in Mumbai and Kudal, Maharashtra, the film brings to screen the scenic beauty of coastal India, with the incomplete love story of Dagadu (Prathamesh Parab) and Prajakta or Praju (Ketaki Mategaonkar in Timepass 1 and Priya Bapat in Timepass 2).

The film premiered in Mumbai on May 1, 2015. It will be shown at the Dorothy Winstone Centre, Auckland Girls Grammar School on Sunday, June 21 at 3 pm.

Fast Forward

Dagdu (Priyadarshan Jadhav) and Praju (Priya Bapat of Munnabhai MBBS fame) are mature adults. Dagdu is a successful artiste running his own music company. His childhood friend Bal Bharati is a famous Astrologist. His other friends are Kombda (employed in the company) and Malaria a politician.

Comical pastime from- Still 2The movie begins with Dagdu donating an Ambulance for the poor people in his area, showing his caring attitude and kindness. His sister, keen on his marriage, shows him a number of photographs of prospective brides.

Dagdu hesitates as he is still searching for the love of his life. He learns that Prajakta (Priya Bapat) is in Kudal and goes in search of her.

Prajakta’s father Shakal wants an educated and successful son-in-law.

Twists and turns

Dagdu, pretending as a researcher at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, impresses Shakal, who is unaware that he is Praju’s childhood friend. He leaves for Mumbai in search of his daughter believed to be living in Mumbai.

He learns that his daughter has changed her name to Urvashi and works as a film artiste.

Shakal goes to the shoot location, and sees his daughter dancing for an Item Number in skimpy clothes. Following an angry engagement, Shakal returns to Kudal.

What happens next? Does Dagdu pursues Praju or abandon her as advised by his friend?

Timepass 2, a second in the ‘Timepass,’ series is the Marathi film in history to cross the Rs 30 crore mark. Produced by Nikhil Sane of Zee Talkies, the film is a creation of Ravi Jadhav whose previous hits include award winning ‘Natarang,’ and ‘Balgandharva,’ which was nominated to the Cannes and Venice Film Festivals.

The special screening in Auckland is being organised by Rushali Entertainment Limited and Global Gurus limited.

Director Ravi Jadhav Vaibhav Mangle (Shakal), Priyadarshan Jadhav (Dagdu) and Priya Bapat (Praju) will be present at the screening and chat with the audience.
