Judges Comment:
Educated at Birkenhead College and playing his junior football with the ‘Northcote Tigers,’ David has come through the ‘Vodafone Warriors’ Development Programme.’
After impressing in this year’s trials, he won a place in the Club’s NYC squad, making his debut for the ‘Vodafone Junior Warriors’ in their first-round game against ‘Manly’ at Eden Park.
His consistent performances have seen him score three tries against ‘The Roosters,’ ‘The Raiders’ and ‘The Storm’ in this year’s Under 20 competition.
David’s representative honors include ‘Auckland Under 15, 16 and 17,’ ‘New Zealand Merit Under 16 and 17’ and ‘New Zealand Resident Under 18 team.
David also promotes Rugby League among the wider Indian Community through his participation in the West Auckland and South Auckland Indian fixtures.
