The curtains are about to go up on the Ninth Indian Newslink Indian Business Awards (INLIBA) 2016.
On November 28, around 1500 guests are expected to attend the Black-Tie event at Sky City Convention Centre in Auckland.
This distinguished gathering will witness the best businesses and business professionals of Indian origin in New Zealand honoured for their success and contribution to the New Zealand economy.
Indian Newslink Indian Business Awards were established in 2008.
Robust Judgment
INLIBA has become one of the biggest events in the social calendar where success stories of Indian businesses in New Zealand are showcased.
The Awards Programme is known for its stringent, accountable and transparent selection process. Merit is the major criterion for deciding the winners; though when it comes to emerging talent, potential also plays its part.
The Judges Panel is a distinguished group of individuals who are independent of any stakeholders for this event.
Entries to INLIBA 2016 opened on March 1 and closed on August 31.
Three workshops were held for all businesses and individuals who were interested in entering the Awards Programme.
These gave an insight into filing a good entry and the selection process.
The Categories
INLIBA 2016 will award winners across 13 categories.
These seek to cover a wide gamut of commercial activities.
From small businesses, which form the backbone of the New Zealand economy to the Medium and Large businesses excelling in Innovation and many others will be honoured at the Awards Ceremony.
INLIBA recognises that good customer service and smart marketing are intrinsic to the success of commercial ventures, and hence awards the best businesses in these categories as well.
A new parameter which has been included when judging marketing initiatives of companies is their online presence and traction they gather on social media.
Winners in each of these categories will be automatically assessed for the ‘Supreme Business of the Year’ Award.
Networking Opportunity
The event starts at 5 pm with an opportunity for guests to mix and mingle over cocktails and canape. It presents networking opportunities for guests and gives them a good sense of the ground realities in the wider business world.
This is also an occasion for the sponsors to display their goods and services.
The main programme will start at 615 pm and will be hosted by Jackie Clarke.
Jackie is a well-known stage and television personality. She is a singer, entertainer and has appeared on INLIBA 2013 and on New Zealand television screens with shows like Skitz and New Zealand Idol. She returns to our Awards Ceremony following public demand.
The Essence
Since their inception the essence of these Awards has been to shine the spotlight on our businesses and professionals contributing to New Zealand’s commercial and industrial success on both a local and global levels.
Indian Newslink Indian Business Awards 2016 is another endeavour to provide a platform which encourages and acknowledges businesses and professionals of Indian origin who have, and are continuing to scale great heights.
