It is with the driving force of customers that GFS has been selected as a Finalist for Excellence in Customer Service at Westpac Auckland Business Awards (South) on August 20, 2015.
They are one of the most prestigious business excellence awards in Auckland, delivered by the Auckland Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ARCCI) in partnership with Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED).
Finalists are chosen from across all industries and not just financial advisers. Therefore, it is big recognition for the GFS team.
While presenting the finalists for the award, ARCCI Chief Executive Michael Barnett said, “This Award recognises a business that succeeds through showing consistent dedication to superlative service, demonstrates its commitment to customers through its policy and staff training.”
Customers First
GFS has always put customers first. Once again, customer service has been independently verified and acknowledged to be amongst the best by an independent panel of judges.
These judges are amongst the most discerning as they have mentored or lead some of the best businesses in New Zealand.
But most important to GFS are the testimonials and positive judgement from 400 plus customers on radio, Facebook, email and videos.
GFS Managing Director Ajay Kumar said, “I request all our customers to ‘like’ our page on Facebook so that you can keep getting updates on the property market and insurance. It is a modern means of communication wherein customers keep themselves updated in an instant and interact through interesting photos and videos rather than just text.”
Insurance Cover
GFS focuses on reducing interest cost for the customers during the lifetime of the loans and not just at arranging the mortgage.
Similarly, for insurance, GFS focuses on arranging need based and affordable insurance cover. Most importantly GFS is known for assisting customers at the time of claim – even when they did not buy insurance from them.
GFS helps customers not just get a mortgage but also advises them on how to pay it faster and save thousands of dollars in interest cost over the entire life of the mortgage. The interest rate savings and cashback that customers receive at the time of taking the mortgage is a small part of this total saving.
Similarly, GFS helps customers get the right insurance which would protect the family home in unforeseen events. It also means getting it at the right price and saving on insurance premium.
Most importantly, GFS has always made it a top priority to assist their customers at the time of insurance claim. In fact, many times they have assisted people who were not even their customers. So far, its claim settlement ratio in respect of life insurance is 100%.

As mentioned above, GFS was a Finalist in the Excellence in Customer Service Delivery category at the Westpac Auckland Business Awards 2015 delivered by Auckland Chambers of Commerce and ATEED across industries.

Customer Case Studies
In a recent case, GFS helped a mortgage customer get an insurance claim she never knew they were entitled to. This was even though her insurance broker was their old friend who had now closed his insurance business.
