Awards give a sense of pride and prestige to companies, their management and staff and motivate them to improve their performance year after year, winners of the various categories of the Indian Newslink Indian Business Awards (IBA) said.
All entrants, including finalists, believed that they were also winners, because “The Awards Scheme allows for introspection, development of a proper business plan, involvement of employees and formation of teams to prepare entries.”
Director and Marketing Manager of a company wrote to us saying, “Although it was very saddening to see that we did not even make it to the list of finalists, I am sure this will make us stronger to come back next year and win in as many categories as possible.”
We admire such spirit, for after all, entering the Awards is in itself an interesting and rewarding experience.
For winners of course, it was a glorious moment at the Awards Night, held on November 19, 2012 at Sky City Convention Centre in Auckland, a Special Report on which appeared in our December 1, 2012 issue.
Supreme Business
Dynamism, ability and willingness to risk, hard work and team spirit are among the factors that have distinguished Multitrade International, since its inception in 1992 in Auckland.
Chief Executive Atin Patel, who won the ‘Best Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ Award sponsored by Patton Limited, belongs to a successful family of businesses in his native Fiji, but remains the master of destiny of Multitrade International, with his 15-member team of managers and staff.
We understand that Multitrade International entered IBA for the first time this year. The panel of judges, independent of this newspaper, qualified the Company to win the ‘Business Excellence in Customer Service’ (sponsored by Kalamazoo Group) and ‘Supreme Business of the Year’ (Title Sponsor BNZ) Awards.
“The judges must have had a difficult task of selecting a winner amongst all the other high calibre participants,” Mr Patel said.
