Solemnity, piety, music, dance, fashion and good food were all part of the Christmas Day celebrations organised by the Auckland based Windfall Global Alliance at the Stamford Plaza Hotel last month.
The Group, which is involved in commodities trading, education, healthcare management and international trade in milk products, Manuka honey and pine wood, showcased the fellowship and goodwill it enjoys with staff, associates and customers with the first-ever such gathering since its inception almost five years ago.
“Christmas heralds the season for giving, extending care and promoting noble thoughts and deeds. We wanted to share our joy at such an assembly of likeminded people,” director Anitha Sweety said.
She said it was also an occasion to recognise and reward the contributions of her 42-strong staff and a growing list of customers.
“I consider the members of my team as members of my family. True to the spirit of Christmas, namely, ‘God is Love,’ I believe that our relationship with staff and businesses is built on love. Love helps in strengthening the human bond,” Ms Sweety said.
She presented awards, citations and gifts to a number of her employees for their outstanding work during the year.
Pastors Owen Shepherd and Etonia Temo initiated the proceedings with their prayers, which were followed by a play that depicted the Birth, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Among the highlights of the evening was a costume parade representing the 28 independent Indian States and dance and music performances by Anjali Miglani, Arathi Anand, Maneesh Muraleedharan, Prashant Nair and Ridhima Arora.
