Another degree of Consumer Trust

2degrees Mobile Limited has become the first company to gain ‘Consumer Trusted Accreditation’ from Consumer New Zealand, a new programme which recognises excellent customer service.

Consumer NZ Chief Executive Sue Chetwin said that the new Consumer Trusted Programme has been developed specifically to deliver high standards of customer service and consumer confidence.

“Our Consumer Trusted programme is a visible way of rewarding businesses with genuinely top-class customer service. 2degrees is one of the first companies to gain this accreditation as it has clearly demonstrated that it lives up to all of our key principles when it comes to providing service above and beyond the Consumer Guarantees Act,” she said.

Rigorous process

To gain accreditation, 2degrees underwent a rigorous analysis process across all parts of the business to ensure that it met every aspect of the programme’s eight key guiding principles. These included excellent customer service, fair returns and refunds policies, clear pricing and accurate advertising. Businesses must also sign up to a code of conduct which includes a range of fair trading clauses.

For example, if a product worth more than $100 goes on sale within a week of purchase, the buyer is entitled to a refund of the difference.

Our company is proud to be selected as one of the first Kiwi businesses to be part of the programme.

Great service

Our core focus has always been to ensure our customers get great service and value for money. Being part of the Consumer Trusted Programme is a great opportunity for us as it reinforces our commitment to putting our customers first.

Our challenge now is to continue delivering to the high standards we set ourselves as well as those of the programme to ensure our customers get the best service possible and feel confident they’re dealing with a market leader.”
