On Saturday, March 8, the Waiau Pa Hall will rock with laughter as the audience enjoys an engaging and transformative event as part of International Women’s Day celebrations.

‘People Interpreter’ Allison (aka Allie) Mooney, one of New Zealand’s most booked humorous speakers, an award-winning international conference presenter, and author of ‘Pressing the Right Buttons,’ is coming to Waiau Pa.

Allie will have you laughing out loud as you learn how to spark up your relationships and improve communication with those near you, both at work and at home.

Even though the ‘excuse’ for this event is to celebrate International Women’s Day, Allie wants the guys there! Men, you need to know what she is telling your partners! And she has got special information for you too.

About the session

Have you ever felt frustrated by someone who cannot make up their mind or a perfectionist who will not let anything slide? Perhaps you have been baffled by the ‘show pony’ who seems to demand the spotlight or felt overshadowed by outspoken personalities. Allie’s session addresses these problems.

She offers simple yet powerful tools to help you understand others, whether it is family, colleagues, or friends. Through humour, insight, and practical strategies, she demonstrates how to celebrate differences, bridge communication gaps, and build more meaningful relationships. The information she shares has transformed many relationships.

You will leave the event with actionable skills to improve your communication, reduce conflicts, and create positive change in both your personal and professional lives. And the message is delivered with humour; you will be chuckling for days.
