The ACG Group has announced that it has acquired New Zealand Career College (NZCC), one of the most successful private education providers in the country.
NZCC is the Sponsor of the ‘Business Excellence in Export to India’ Category of the Indian Newslink Indian Business Awards since 2011.
Established in 2002 by Feroz Ali (Chief Executive & Managing Director), whose family has been involved in education and training for many years, NZCC accounts for five campuses located in Auckland (Central Auckland, Manukau and Waitakere), Wellington and Christchurch.
Extensive courses
Employing about 70 teaching and non-teaching staff, NZCC offers a range of Certificate and Diploma courses in Early Childhood, Health, Business, English and Electronic trades. The Institution attracts a mix of about 700 domestic and international students, 37% of which are of Maori and Pacific Island descent.
It also operates ‘New Zealand Nannies Plus,’ a home-based Early Childhood service, specialising in support for nannies.
ACG Chief Executive Ian King said, “I am delighted that as well-established and successful university pathways, ACG will provide more options within the tertiary and careers sector. ACG will do more to train young people for direct transition into the work force. ACG has a close interest in Early Childhood training, Electro-technology and Health amongst others, such as Business, Cookery and Hospitality, IT, Art and Design.”
Mr Ali will take up a senior role within ACG as Divisional Chief Executive of the ACG Tertiary & Careers Division.
“I am pleased to join ACG, where there were greater opportunities to implement a vision for a comprehensive tertiary, training and careers division offering a wide range of qualifications and pathways to the workforce,” he said.
