A Video sample of Anuradha Ramkumar’s Bha Ra Tha Programme on July 20 and 21

Fans of Academy and other Awards winner AR Rahman, lovers of Bharata Natyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak and various other forms of Indian classical dances and those who have witnessed and have been amused by the mastery of Anuradha Ramkumar will find her next production unmissable. Tickets are selling fast for ‘Bha Ra Tha,’ an acronym for Bhava (Emotions), Raga (Melody) and Tala (Rhythm), a dance and musical extravaganza scheduled to be held on Dorothy Winstone Centre at Auckland Girls Grammar School on July 20 and 21, 2024.

This programme is stated to be the first of its kind in New Zealand with carefully chosen compositions of Alla Rakha (AR) Rahman, a top music director of the Indian film industry with six National Film, Two Academy (Oscar), two Grammy, 15 Filmfare (National) and 17 Filmfare (South) Awards to his credit in addition to a British Academy Film (Golden Globe) Award.
