Senior Citizens Minister Jo Goodhew will be the chief guest at the “International Day of Older Persons’ being organised by Shanti Niwas Charitable Trust at its premises (14 Spring Street) in Onehunga on Saturday, October 6, 2012.
Supported by Onehunga Community Centre, Onehunga Business Association and Maungakiekie MP Peseta Sam Lotu-Iiga, the event, which is open to all, will be held from 11 am to 230 pm.
“The programme will feature multicultural performances, food stalls and activities for seniors, families and children,” Project Manager Nilima Venkat said.
