Music, dance, fun and entertainment are in store for you at the ‘Valentine Day Dance Party’ being organised by one of our young and talented drummers next fortnight.
Joscel Alexander and his ‘boys,’ comprising the ‘Gurus of Groove,’ who have been entertaining guests at our annual Indian Newslink Indian Business Awards Presentation Ceremony since 2008 are putting together the event.
It would be dance time at Mt Eden Memorial Hall from 730 pm on Saturday, February 16, 2013 and those who attended Joscel’s first such venture to mark Diwali in November 2012 would expect more at the forthcoming show.
“As the tempo picks up, you can expect different kinds of genre of English and Hindi tracks,” he said.
Lovers of music and dance can expect to sway to the tunes of ‘Churaliya Tumne,’ ‘Disco Deewane,’ ‘Senorita,’ ‘Desi Girl,’ and ‘Mamma Mia,’ while the hits of the Beatles and the Bee Gees will also reverberate the auditorium.
‘Gurus of Groove,’ include Joseph Alexander better known as Alex, Joscel Alexander (Electronic Drums and Octopad), Hemant Thaker, Raoul D’Cunha (Keyboards), Ravi Shah (Lead Guitar) and Dean Rodrigues (Bass Guitar).
Among the vocalists are Ritika Shah, Nigel D’Souza and Rachit Bhatia.
Tickets are available at India Gate Restaurant.
