A Report published in our July 15, 2012 issue had stated that Shefali Mehta was the first woman of Indian origin to head a Rotary Club in New Zealand. We understand that Dr Amritha Sobrun-Maharaj (Director Centre for Asian Health Research and Evaluation, School of Population Health, University of Auckland) was the first woman of Indian origin to hold the post and that she was the President of Rotary Club of Auckland Harbourside in 1999-2000. In correcting the record, we wish to state that the previous report was published based on the information supplied to us.
