Chinnamma Kunjumon Thomas, a registered nurse at the Ophthalmology Department of Auckland Hospital passed away after a prolonged illness on September 15.
She is survived by her husband Kunjumon Thomas (former Vice-President of Auckland Malayali Samajam & former owner of Spice Corner, Royal Oak) and their two sons, Kelvin (25) and Martin (21).
Hundreds of people visited their home in Kerala to offer their condolences to the bereaved family and pay their last respects to the deceased. The funeral was held in Kerala on September 21.
Chinnu had a penchant for Malayalam Literature and penned many poems in the vernacular.
Mary
Mary (no second name given), a retired Nursing Tutor of Trivandrum Medical College passed away on September 15 in Kerala.
Her daughter Mini James is a Nurse at the Waikato Hospital and her husband James Abraham works as a social worker in Hamilton.
The funeral was held in Kerala on September 18.

Krishnan Nair
Krishnan Nair, father of Auckland based Sree Kumar passed away on September 8 in his family home at Nagampadom (Kottayam District) in Kerala.
Mr Nair served the Kerala Police for more than 25 years and retired as a Sub-Inspector. He was 80 years old and is survived by his wife and four sons (Sree Kumar, Balu Menon, Ravi Sankar and Jaya Sankar), three of who are settled in the US- Staff Reporter
