We are now less than a month away from the start of the HRV Cup Twenty20 competition and we are gearing up for a great month of action packed cricket!
The Aces have been in good form in the four-day Plunket Shield Competition and the great news is that we have their overseas imports.
Andre Adams announced his return to Cricket in New Zealand with 11 wickets in his first game back against the Northern Knights and then smashed 79 in his next game. These are good signs that he is ready to be a star turn for the Aces at the HRV Cup.
Azhar Mahmood, the other import of Aces, arrived here recently, fresh from a massively successful county season in England.
The former Pakistani international all rounder amassed an undefeated Twenty20 century and was on his way to 406 runs for his county side Kent.
He is a useful player with the ball as well. His delighted Kent fans voted him their ‘Player of the Year.’
It is all geared up to be a great month of cricket.
All Blackcaps will be available, including Martin Guptill, Kyle Mills and Chris Martin. The Aces are in good form.
They will be back at Colin Maiden Park in Glen Innes for all their home games.
It is a wonderful place to watch Cricket with all the things you need for a great day out, including something to eat, drink and keeping children busy.
