Senior citizens praise outgoing Indian envoy

Auckland, March 29, 2019

The kindness and timely help rendered by outgoing Indian High Commissioner Sanjiv Kohli were acknowledged at a meeting of the Senior Citizens of Bhartiya Samaj Charitable Trust on March 23, 2019.

Mr Kohli is on transfer to Tanzania where he will head the India’s diplomatic mission in Dar Es Salaam as the High Commissioner.

Presenting a Memento, Trust Chairman Jeet Suchdev said that Mr Kohli is a man of compassion and a man who rose to every occasion in providing assistance to people in need.

“He has gone above and beyond the normal working hours to help people in distressed situations. His contributions in bringing together the Indian Diaspora will be remembered long. We wish him well in his career,” he said.

Earlier, silence was observed in memory of the victims of the Christchurch massacre.
