Civil Aviation is among the worst sectors affected by a series of global developments including the financial crisis, rising fuel prices and natural disasters. These have in turn affected the prospects of travel trade.
But companies that have established a reputation for service and customer care will be able to weather through the troubled times, says Sheetal Pathak, Senior Travel Consultant at Silva Travel & Tours, located at 689 Sandringham Road in the Auckland suburb of Mt Roskill.
“Recession has indeed affected the travel industry but we are able to manage as we are known for efficiency and excellent product knowledge, in addition to offering the best possible rates,” she said.
Established more than 15 years ago, the Company has been anchored by its commitment to provide superior customer service to corporate and leisure clients. The Agency has grown from strength to strength over the years.
Ms Pathak said as a bonded agent and registered with the Travel Agents Association of New Zealand (TAANZ), Silva Travel & Tours carries responsibilities towards the stakeholders, the industry and clients.
“The Bonding Scheme has been designed to provide customers with an assurance that if they deal with TAANZ members, they would at least receive some protection against the failure of travel agents to properly account for monies received from customers,” she said.
The Agency provides ticketing and other services related to airlines, car rental, cruise lines, hotels, tours and package holidays.
“Silva Travel & Tours provides services to clients travelling to any part of the world but we have specialised in the Fiji and Indian Sub-Continent. We keep ourselves updated of all developments,” Ms Pathak said.
