Legal Associates is based in Papatoetoe, South Auckland and offers a wide range of legal services to over 2000 clients.
They identified a need for specialised legal services and legal education among migrant communities.
Legal Associates have addressed a lack of awareness around legal responsibilities, obligations and rights which creates a gap between migrant communities and their ability to smoothly transition into settling in New Zealand.
There is a written marketing plan that includes new services to be delivered, and new locations. Sponsorships and community involvement (pro bono) with many organisations – across many ethnicities are common.
The Judges have been very taken with the way that Legal Associates have successfully merged their legal capability with a community need as a vital part of their marketing programme.
