The Avondale team walked away with the Eid Cup 2010 tournament, defeating Ponsonby 3-0 last weekend.
There was little doubt that the team deserved to win.
The Tournament, held at the Bill McKinlay Park in Auckland, was one of the most successful tournaments in recent memory.
Sixteen teams participated in the four-day Tournament held from November 4 to 7.
There were four groups in the Tournament.
Group One: Defending champions Ponsonby, Waikato, Tauranga and Dannemora;
Group Two: Papatoetoe, Mt Wellington, Otahuhu and Mangere
Group Three: Hunters Corner, Manukau, Lynfield and Manawatu (Palmerston North)
Group Four: Avondale, Takanini, Western Heights and Manurewa
The teams that progressed to the Finals were Ponsonby (defeating Papatoetoe) Avondale (defeating Manukau)
