The Police performing the highly vibrant Bhangra has become an important aspect of social interaction and it is no surprise that the men and women in blue uniform have become a source of endearment and admiration.
More than 200 people watched constables and sergeants performing the ever-popular Punjabi dance at the Diwali celebrations held at the Headquarters of Counties Manukau Police on October 19, 2016.
Among them were District Commander Superintendent John Tims, Inspector Nga Wati Chaplow, Maori Responsiveness Advisor, Members of the South Asian Advisory Board, Members of the Local Boards, community leaders and others.
