Real Estate Agent gets- Amial Habib.jpg.jpgA Waitakere based Real Estate Agent will be ordained as a Priest this fortnight.

Pakistan born Amail Habib will receive the honour by the newly elected Bishop Rossy Bay at St Michael’s and All Angles Anglican Church located at 425 Great North Road in Henderson on June 13.

The ceremony will begin at 7 pm.

Soft-spoken and erudite, Mr Habib has successfully completed a three-year spiritual and academic training course under the leadership of Rev Dr Ken Bennett, as a part of the Diocesan Training programme of the Auckland Diocese.

He will work as a Deacon at the Family Church under the patronage of Rev Charlie Hughes, the Vicar of St Michel’s Church.

He has been on the Church Board for more than ten years, and has performed the role of Vicar’s Warden.

“This would be the greatest moment in my life and I look forward to serving the community in my role as Deacon,” Mr Habib said.

A postgraduate in Applied Mathematics and graduate in Education, he was in Dubai for 19 years, working in the education sector. As well as being a teacher and Principal of a large school managing more than 3000 pupils and 200 staff, he was Secretary to the Board of Governors of a Group that owned 13 schools in its network.

Mr Habib is a licensed Residential Sales & Marketing Consultant employed at Bayleys Real Estate Limited in Titirangi, Waitakere.

He was recently elected as President of the Waitakere Ethnic Board (Indian Newslink, May 15, 2010), which is reported to represent almost 180 different ethnic communities in West Auckland.

Married to Reba, the couple have three sons, all of who are qualified engineers.

Dr Boaz works for Fonterra in Palmerston North, Amoon for Carter Holt Harvey in Tokoroa and Asher for Meridian Energy in Wellington.
