A preacher, described as ‘A Young and Fearless servant of Jesus Christ,’ is due with his wife in Auckland next month as a part of a regional tour.
Acharya Vikas Massey, Founder-Director of ‘Family Life Ministries’ (FLM) and Deepti Massey will be the guests of Auckland Mercy Gates Christian Fellowship and their visits will include Wellington, Rotorua, Pukekohe and Auckland from April 19 to April 25, 2016.
According to Pastor Naran Makan, Acharya Massey is a man of lore and has an in-depth knowledge of Indian religious books and the Holy Bible.
His speeches and preaching will bring revelation on the prophecies, and their fulfilment, which in turn, would bring much encouragement and hope to people attending his meetings,” he said.
Qualified engineer
The visiting Acharya is a Sanskrit Scholar and a qualified engineer, specialised in E-Banking from Agra University.
His professional career took him to Samsung Electronics and many other IT companies. Pastor Makan said that although born to Christian parents, Acharya Vikas gave equal importance to learning Indian culture, literature, Sanskrit and Vedanta under the guidance of Pandit Dharam Prakash Sharma (Pushker Teerath) of Rajasthan.
“Vikas Massey has brought forth facts that prove that only Jesus Christ’s life completes the ultimate fullness of God’s definition given in Vedanta and Adishastras (Ancient Hindu Religious books). He finds joy in bringing the fountain of love of God to the thirsty land of India,” Pastor Makan said.
Vikas Massey has represented FLM in conferences and mission fields in Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Delhi, Kottayam, Varanasi, Agra, Kolkata and other Indian cities and also in many villages. He was also a guest speaker in the many International Conference.
The Saviour
His wife Deepti is the daughter of Usha Bhatnagar, a Hindu Lady Priest N K Bhatnagar. A qualified engineer, she now serves Christ with her husband as Co-Director of FLM. They have two daughters Arnika and Arvika. They live in Jaipur.
“Jesus is my saviour, not my religion,” Deepti said.
“I was born in a Hindu Kayastha Bhatnagar family and my upbringing was such that I was active in the rites and rituals of Hindu beliefs, especially idol worship, offerings and fasting. But personally, my thirst for the true God remained unquenched. My early education was in a Christian Convent school and many of my classmates and teachers were Christians. However, I never experienced Christ’s grace and stayed ignorant about His divinity and teachings,” she said.
‘Foreign God’
Ms Deepti said that she used to consider Jesus Christ as a ‘Foreign God’ and Christianity as a ‘foreign religion.’
“During my higher education, I met an old classmate who told me in detail about Jesus Christ and inspired me to read the Bible. When I came to know about the life, teachings and divinity of Jesus Christ with many historical facts, I realised that true salvation rested in Jesus Christ. I accepted Him as my Saviour on October 24, 2002,” she said.
