Zoros put together an exciting week of events
Sanaya Master – 
The Sixth World Zoroastrian Youth Congress scheduled to be held in Auckland next month is gathering momentum as the organisers put together a programme that would be useful, informative and entertaining for global delegates.
More than 400 persons, including 220 young delegates from across the Continents, are expected to attend the six-day Conference (from December 28, 2015 to January 2, 2016) at King’s College in Otahuhu.
HR Campaigner
Zerbanoo Gifford, a Human Rights campaigner and a passionate advocate for women empowerment and democracy and Founder of ‘Asha Centre,’ a multicultural, multi-religious centre to promote good causes, will be the Special Guest Speaker.
She has led her life at a sprinter’s pace moving from one winning post to another despite many roadblocks. As one of the first non-white women who made political history in Britain, she has been able to bring together people across party-lines to promote such causes as Anti-Slavery International and SHELTER, a charity for the homeless in UK and Charities Aid Foundation in India.
International Awards
Zerbanoo holds numerous international awards for her humanitarian work, which spans over forty years of grassroots and global activism. These include the Nehru Centenary Award for her championing the rights of women, children and minorities, International Woman of the Year in 2006 and Splendour Award in Hollywood in 2007 for her lifetime achievements in the field of equality and human rights.
Keynote Speakers
Our Keynote Speakers, Jimmy Antia and Jimmy Madon, hail from equally interesting and impressive backgrounds.
Jimmy is an International Security and Development Analyst with experience in Latin America and Southeast Asia. His work experience includes working with the US Army Corps of Engineers, where he focuses on working with other components of the US government to promote resilient and sustainable use of water resources.
Jimmy Madon moved from Mumbai to the UK five years ago and obtained a First Class Honours degree in Computer Science from the University of East London. He is currently employed as a Software Systems Development Engineer
The Sixth World Congress is open to all Zoroastrians between the ages of 15 and 35.
