The annual ‘Annamayya Padahela,’ a tribute to the great Saint Annamacharya, will be held on May 9, 2015 at the Shri Shirdi Saibaba Temple Hall located at 12 Princes Street in Onehunga, Auckland.
The concept of this year’s programme is ‘Brahmotsavam,’ featuring Annamacharya’s compositions in praise of Lord Venkateswara of Tirupathi Tirumala Hills.
The proceeds of the concert, 12th in an annual series, is scheduled to begin at 530 pm, will be donated to the Temple.
Led by Padma Govardhan, Director & Principal of the School, the vocalists and performers will include her students, daughter Vishnupriya and son Balu and a number of singers from the community
“Sangeetha Bharathi Music School donates proceeds of the ‘Annamayya Padahela’ every year to a community project, organisation or charity. As done in 2014, we are privileged to donate to the Shri Shirdi Saibaba Temple,” Mrs Govardhan said.
