Seedlings Education is a Home Based Education service for families who have their child or children cared for in either their own home or a caregiver’s home.
They offer a support service to engage the caregiver to provide a daily structure to the caregiving as well as provide use of their extensive toy and book library, free playgroups and outings, free training courses and upskilling evenings for caregivers and many other exciting offerings.
They also provide a monthly subsidy paid back to each family to help subsidise your childcare costs.
Twenty free ECE hours and WINZ subsidies are also accessible through Seedlings Education.
Many families realise the benefits of home based care with having smaller child to educator ratio’s giving the children a more personalised learning experience.
It can also be very beneficial to split the home based care and centre based care to provide the best of both worlds for your child. Many of Seedlings Education families currently use the “split model” including the owners own children.
Personal learning path
Seedlings Education aims to provide a quality service by ensuring that each child has their own personal learning path created by fully qualified Early Childhood Education Programme Co-ordinators who visit with the children once a month.
During a recent review of their service, the Education Review Office stated:
‘The Seedlings Education Co-ordinators model very good quality practices and develop warm relationships with children and educators. They share ideas to promote children’s learning. Co-ordinators help educators to plan ways to support children to achieve learning goals. They provide families and educators with information and guidance through visit notes, emails and phone calls. Educators and families report that they value the knowledge and expertise of Co-ordinators.’
Seedlings Education has four Programme Co-ordinators, which include English, Mandarin and Hindi speakers as well as our Head Programme Coordinator who specialises in special needs and overall support.
Should you require information or guidance on sleep consultancy, ages and stages or simply need a few resources and advice on the general childcare milestones, they are here to help and support you as parents and educators.
Up-skilling courses
Your Educators also get to enjoy the benefits of free up-skilling courses, first aid courses and opportunities to work towards becoming a fully qualified ECE teacher themselves.
Seedlings Education also offer a referral programme which pays a $200* referral fee to you for any family that you successfully refer to them (conditions apply). You do not even need to be enrolled yourself, just ensure that your name is mentioned when a family is enrolled and $200* is yours!
Give them a call today on 0800 Seedlings and they will be happy to not only provide you with a quote of the subsidies you could be receiving but they will also be happy to have someone come out for a ‘no obligation’ visit to further explain the great benefits they have to offer.
