Three customers of ANZ Bank were recently honoured with awards for their commitment and dedication to the migrant community.
The Awards were presented at the third Annual ANZ Auckland Lunar New Year Customer Luncheon held in Auckland last fortnight.
Jeffrey Wu, Director of HHSU Group Limited received the ‘ANZ Migrant Entrepreneur Award 2014’ in recognition of the rapid growth of his stores throughout New Zealand, the success of his wine exports and his efforts to strengthen trade ties between New Zealand and Asia.
The ‘ANZ Migrant Support Award 2014’ went to Jim Ni, General Manager of Byron International Group. He was honoured for his involvement in assisting hundreds of international students to successfully study in New Zealand and for supporting many new migrants come to the country.
Kai Luey received the ‘ANZ Community Spirit Award 2014’ for his dedication in the Chinese community and involvement in organising several high-profile Chinese events.

ANZ Managing Director (Retail & Business Banking) Fred Ohlsson said that it was a privilege to recognise the efforts of ‘wonderful people and their businesses within the migrant community.’
“At ANZ, we place great importance on our migrant communities and helping people of all nationalities connect with the growth markets of our region. Celebrations like the Lunar New Year form a bridge of understanding between cultures and brings people together to celebrate the many blessings we have in this country,” he said.
