The past year has been challenging for many industries due to border closures perpetrated by the fear of Covid-19 and resultant market fluctuations and uncertainties.
While all the sectors and leading professionals tried their best to cope with the curveballs thrown at them, the Real Estate sector has been subject to even more formidable challenges and hence has had the pronounced need for improvisation in these testing times.
With Lockdowns, restrictions on the number of viewings during the day, bidders not being allowed physically in Auction Rooms, Bank rules getting tougher, the situation got trickier to manoeuvre. The ever-rising need for housing and the proverbial short supply have all had their impact, each of these prolonging the time for Real Estate professionals to enlist.

Amidst these depressing times, it was a therefore a moment of great pride when a few hard-working people went above the ordinary to achieve extraordinary results for their clients, for their teams and the industry.

One such is Jack Ramasamy, a lead negotiator and a well-known Real Estate salesperson in Hamilton and the larger Waikato region. He leads a team of highly motivated and result-oriented professionals at River Road Branch (Residential) of Lugtons Real Estate in Hamilton.
Jack has made history with an epic win, claiming the Top Salesperson/Agent of the Year Award in the 2021-2022 Australasian Real Estate Results Awards (ARERA), the first Kiwi nominee since the inception of the Award to be bestowed with this honour.
