The Pakistan Government will honour former Labour MP Dr Ashraf Choudhary with a high civilian award, the country’s High Commissioner Syed Ibne Abbas revealed in Auckland on Saturday (April 28).
Speaking at a dinner organised in his honour by the Pakistan Association of New Zealand and Pakistan Business Association at Sudima Hotel, he said, “This Award will be in recognition of Dr Choudhary’s role in fostering bilateral relations between the two countries and his services to the community over several decades. An official announcement regarding the Award will be made later,” he said.
