Minister for Women Julie Anne Genter has outlined her plans prior to and following the birth of her baby.
She will stop flying and remain based in Auckland from July 15, 2018 until the birth of her baby, due on August 6, 2018.
She will continue to carry out her Ministerial duties from Auckland until she goes into labour.
Ms Anne Genter will take leave from her Ministerial duties from the time of going into labour for a period of up to three months (estimated to be August 6 to November 6, 2018).
Whilst on maternity leave, Minister James Shaw will be the Acting Associate Minister of Transport and Acting Associate Minister of Health and Minister Sage will be Acting Minister for Women.
