We are at ‘Priya Ragam,’ a programme organised by the Sangeetha Bharathi (SB) Magic Group at Dorothy Winstone Centre, Auckland Girls Grammar School. In the first picture, the singing sensation and ‘Indian Idol’ finalist PVNS Rohit, aka Naga and Vishnu Priya are presenting ‘ Omkara Nadhanu’ from ‘Shankarabharanam,’ one of the finest Telugu films ever produced. K V Mahadevan composed music for the film, which was an emotional tribute to Carnatic Music and its practitioners in its purest form. This song drew a loud applause.

This was followed by ‘Abhi Mukherjee Me Kahin,’ rendered by Rohit, taken from the Hindi film ‘Agnipath,’ with the song tuned by Ajay-Atul.

The programme began with ‘Mahaganapathim,’ a traditional invocatory song by Sravani and Sudhiksha of the in praise of Lord Ganesha, the Remover of All Obstacles, followed by (second picture) Pratyusha and Praveen Rabelais rendering ‘Poovullo Dugunna,’ turned by A R Rahman for the Telugu Film ‘ Jeans.’

Many thanks.
Best wishes and regards
Venkat.
