Dr Robert Lateef Khan (Senior) Commemoration Award – For services to the people of Fiji

Presented to Heart International, Nadi, Fiji for services to the people of Fiji.

There are thousands of people in Fiji with a heart condition and their financial condition is so poor that they cannot even travel to New Zealand where an angiogram and angioplasty procedure with a single stent can cost up to New Zealand $35,000.

Heart International fulfils that need to an extent. Co-Founded by Dr Parma Nand, it is the only specialised heart clinic in Fiji offering state-of-the-art heart investigations and stent treatment at international standards delivered locally.

It is a dedicated clinic that does heart screening to assess the risk of heart problems.
