Bollywood fans across the UK are in for a treat as ‘The Bollywood Big One,’ billed as one of the largest Bollywood stage shows in history, is set to embark on a national tour this May, bringing a galaxy of Indian film stars to Manchester and London.
The star-studded extravaganza will be staged on Sunday, May 4th at Manchester’s Coop Live, followed by a Bank Holiday Monday performance at London’s OVO Arena Wembley on May 5th.
The lineup boasts some of Bollywood’s biggest names, including superstar Salman Khan, the legendary Madhuri Dixit, and popular heartthrobs Varun Dhawan and Tiger Shroff.
Adding to the glamour are leading ladies Sara Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, and Disha Patani, with promises of further surprise artist announcements to come. The show will be hosted by the comedic duo of Sunil Grover and Manish Paul.
A Dream Project
“The Bollywood Big One” marks a significant milestone for Farhath Hussain, a pioneer in global Bollywood stage shows for the past 40 years. This dream project, a collaboration between India and the UK, is managed, scripted, and directed by Sohail Khan Entertainment and JA Events.
The Manchester show at Coop Live will be a historic moment, marking the return of Bollywood glitterati to the city after 25 years.
The venue, known for hosting top-tier international entertainment, is perfectly suited for a show of this magnitude.
Following the Manchester debut, the tour will move to London’s OVO Arena Wembley, a venue steeped in Bollywood history. Notably, this will be Salman Khan’s return to Wembley, and the first major Bollywood concert there in 20 years, following the arena’s extensive refurbishment.
Organisers are committed to making the event accessible, with ticket prices structured to ensure affordability for fans.
The UK, with its large and established South Asian diaspora, is considered the ideal location for this landmark tour. The show aims to celebrate the global impact of the Diaspora and its cultural cornerstone, Bollywood. The tour is expected to draw audiences from around the world, highlighting the strength and influence of the South Asian community.
