An Indian couple in Auckland has taken the initiative of moving another step-in door-to-door-service by offering delivery of groceries and other items from major supermarkets throughout Auckland.
‘Grocery Express’ has just been established by Joseph Chacko (Managing Director), his wife Mary Mathew (Chief Executive) and Tejas Delvi (Business Development Manager) to offer this new service.
Orders can be placed on Freephone 0800-243377 or by downloading Mobile Apps on Play Store for Android or Apple Store for iPhones.
As published in our Web Edition dated February 18, 2017 and our print edition dated March 1, 2017, the trio launched their liquor delivery company ‘Ontherocks.com,’ to meet the demand of beer, wine and spirits.
Service to all
Ms Mathew said that it is not uncommon for people to suddenly need essential items such as bread, milk, butter, cheese, yoghurt, canned vegetables, soups, tea, coffee and a host of other items and may not be able to go out and make purchases directly.
“They can place their orders with ‘Grocery Express,’ and we will ensure delivery of the items within two hours. This would be at just $5 per delivery,’ she said.
‘Grocery Express’ however is not a 24/7 operation. The first order would be processed at 9 am and the final order at 5 pm.
Secure payment
“Delivery would be made in areas mentioned on the company’s website, where orders can be placed. We have trained personnel to ensure that goods are delivered to the right persons after checking their ID if required. Our website is very secure with SSL Certificate and a secure gateway to prevent any type of fraud,” Ms Mathew said.
